Cardinal and King is a fast game that has very easy rules and yet is very strategic.
Players build monasteries and councils in nine countries. Each one can set 1-2 blocks per train. However, you have to play the right cards, each of which keeps three on hand. Two equal cards may be played as a joker. Please note that when setting the game blocks: In each train only one country can be built. Only one stone can be set in empty countries. And in a country only as many councils as the player with most monasteries in this country has monasteries. This rule makes the game so interesting. There are two notes that always come when the stack of cards is used up. Then in a country the players with most monasteries get as many points as total monasteries in this country. The second gets as many points as the first monasteries have. The third party the number of the 2nd, etc. councils are only evaluated in the second evaluation. They only give points when one has the majority of councils in two countries that have an alliance. Then you get as points the sum of the councils of all colors of these two countries. In addition, monasteries from length give four points at the second score.
The game is very liquid. You never wait until you get back. The game is quickly learned and it is always exciting after many games, because you can never know if in the current game straight councils or monasteries are more important.
