Europe at the beginning of 20 Century: Six great European powers struggle for power and influence in the age of imperialism. Ultimately, however, these great powers are only puppets in a perfid game, because the skill of the great powers is directed by international investors. Each player slips into the role of one of these investors and can thus gain control over a power of great power by awarding loans. However, this control can also escape him again, so that new strategic constellations are constantly emerging.
Imperial creates an extremely high depth of play with simple game mechanisms and game structures. Thus, the entry for a game of this depth is very easy if one has become familiar with the basic principle of separation from players and great powers. The "indirect" control of the game as an investor with the resulting strategic fines fascinates both newcomers and old rabbits again and again.
Imperial is the first game of the PD publisher in the board game world and at the same time the first "big" conflict game in the board game world.
For imperial connoisseurs who only want to familiarize themselves with the operation in the BrettspielWelt, there is a pure operating instructions.
