Café International
Game preparation
With /join 2 to 4 players can enter the game. With /start the game begins. Alternatively, you can use the game management use.
The game
The Café International is colourful. People from countries around the world come over the hands of the players and look for a place for themselves. The players have five people on their hands, which they randomly pull at the beginning. If you're in the row, put one or two carts in the cafe, or send a person to the bar. Alternatively, a joker can be exchanged. Each box gives points. The fuller the tables become, the more profitable the train.
The move
You can choose between three possible moves:
- bring one or two people to free tables
- send a person to the bar
- replace a Joker (replace a Joker sitting on a chair with a matching card)
The player clicks the box of his choice and executes the train.
a) Bringing people to free tables
Guests are not allowed to sit in the café as desired, but to observe the following rules
- Each guest must be placed at a table of his respective country. The flags of the countries show easily where a train is allowed.
- No person may sit insulated somewhere, i.e. at least one other person must sit at the table. (exception: one can lay two of his carts in such a way that the condition is fulfilled after the second train. Then the first card can be placed insulated. Example first train: player opens new table)
- There must never be three men or women sitting at a table. In addition, the second man is allowed to go to the table only when at least one woman has already taken a seat and vice versa.
- Jokers may be placed at any tables. The gender is to be observed.
After the first card can be checked. A joker may have to be assigned a nationality if he is to sit between two different tables.
b) Send a person to the bar
All persons except jokers may be put to the bar (except if there is no other possibility of pulling, a joker can also be put to the bar). If a player chooses this option, he can only place one card.
c) Joker exchange
Instead of placing cards, you can also replace a joker in the field and take it on hand. For this, the corresponding card is placed on the joker. With Jokern between two different tables, it can be replaced by both nationalities.
Points
In the café
It is evaluated in a table. The first person at the table always brings 0 points, the second 2 points, the third 3 points and the fourth 4 points. If only persons of nationality are sitting there after laying, the points are doubled. If a player completes a single-nation table, he does not draw a card. This allows him to permanently reduce his handcards.
At the bar
The bar is occupied in turn. In each train there is the number of points indicated on the laying place (the first five cards are positive, then negative). There are no points for the exchange of Jokern.
Final value
When playing, each player pays five points from his account per card on the hand. Joker even cost ten minus points.
Playing
Café International ends when one of five conditions is fulfilled:
- There are only max. four cards in the bag
- All tables are fully occupied
- The bar is full
- A player has no more cards after being pulled (i.e. he has formed five one-nation tables)
- It's just a player in the game. This can occur when fellow players leave the game by slipping into the minus area.
