In Buttonville you collect nature cards that you can play to use their effects.
At the end of the game, every set of beings as well as the buttons you have collected bring you glory points.
You can find the complete rules here The
In Buttonville there are 25 different beings (each in 12-fold version) who have gathered in guilds.
In the card pile at the beginning are 1 being from each of the 5 first guilds and 4 of the 10 faithful (if you two play only 3 of the 10 faithful).
So you always play with a total of 9 (or 8) different beings, of which all 12 are in the pile.
20 cards or 40 cards (with 2 players) of which will remain as final piles soon aside.
You start with 2 buttons and 4 hand cards.
5 cards are open in the market.
A turn always consists of these 2 consecutive steps:
1. Take on the hand 2 being cards (duty!)
2. Set 1 set of same beings (voluntary)
For each of the two cards, you can decide whether to take from the market or from the stock.
If you take a card from the market, you will be immediately followed by the new stock.
You can play 1 set (any number of cards of the same name) from your hand.
Most beings have an effect that occurs when the card is played.
Attention: This effect is only applied once in total - not even per card of the played set.
Some effects, however, depend on the number of cards of the currently played set. This number is symbolized by an X in the text of the effect.
No, no, no. When you play a set, you always play it as a separate set and never on a set that may be already available.
Some of the card effects can be used to remove or disregard rules.
For example, card effects can be used to create cards on already outstanding sets.
In this case the effect of the set is not used!
If you have more than 7 hand cards at the end of your train, you will have to discard excess cards of your choice.
If you have played a set of a being several times, decide which set you will drop.
At the end of your train you may have a maximum of 1 set of each being.
When the suit pile is used up, it comes to the final.
Continue the running round until all of you were on the train.
The last train is run by the person sitting right next to the start player.
Then play a very last round in which everyone makes a complete move again.
Special case: If the final pile is used up and you can't draw enough cards, you will get 1 button per card instead, which you cannot draw.
After that the game ends and it comes to the valuation.
Depending on the number of cards in each set, you will get rest points according to the following table:
In addition, for 2 buttons, you will receive 1 rest point.
Then whoever has the most glory points wins the game!
In the case of a tie, who has lost most sets.
These effects of cards are effective once per own set.
ACTION:
You can activate this effect at any time during your train at most once.
So you can already activate the effect on the train where you played the set.
The effect is activated by clicking the corresponding symbol (5).
DAUERHAFT:
This effect is always active after playing and is triggered at a certain time specified in the effect text.
SPIELENDS:
This effect occurs when determining the points of rest.
If you play a set with a action effect and you already have such a set before you, you can activate the effect of both sets.
